British designer, Amy Brown, has been designing, making and retailing her quirky yet stylish home ware since 2016. Amy wanted to use her illustrative skills to create little pieces of happiness and soon became the female founder of her very own business, Mister Berwyn. Amy has used her creative flair to create a wide range of products, from mole plates to bear cushions. The product range continues to grow and includes a range of ceramics, cushions, placemats, trays and kitchen linens. All products are inspired by playful interiors and Amy’s love of nature, Mister Berwyn is a place where illustration and pattern meet to brighten your everyday.
Amy grew up and still lives in Wales, nestled between the picturesque coastline and mountains. As a child her weekends were spent exploring mountains and coastal trails with her family. Amy’s liking for these adventures has not stopped and she spends most weekends exploring nature all these years later. It’s this nostalgia that gives Amy’s work and Mister Berwyn its light-hearted childlike energy and her imagination peppers it with wit.
Whenever I’m in nature I spot something I’ve never seen before. Even in places I visit weekly, it can be something as small as a new rabbit hole that gets me thinking about the rabbits who dug it? Have there been any uninvited guests who have gone down the hole and what did the rabbits make of it? It’s endless with nature. The changing pace of it all transports me back to my childhood, standing in wonder at the things I was seeing for the first time.
